Item: Duffy, Warwick Avenue
Duffy's latest offering Warwick Avenue has proved to be very popular but personally I think it's a poor offering in comparison to Mercy. It's not the greatest of songs but is rescued by Duffy's voice. I think a girl of her talents needs some better material to work with.

Duffy, Rockferry review - Enjoyable melodies and a thoroughly entertaining gravelly, nasal vocal - reminiscent of a young Lulu - this is a pretty good album which will continue to grow on you after the first few listens.
Mercy is a great pop song, while Rockferry has a relaxed charm about it straight out of the 60's soul scene. But you can find hooks back into Motown, Dusty Springfield and even the Supremes in quite a lot of the album, which doesn't fail to disappoint with a great ...

Mercy is a very impressive song with a rhythm section that grooves well and very catchy melodies. I'm not sure where the Amy Winehouse comparisons come for because the fact the are female and sing is all they have in common, their styles are very different. I look forward to hearing future songs of her album ...
