The Ford Focus has received a somewhat mixed reception from Review Centre reviewers.
There have been concerns from some about handling in all weather as well as some major mechanical and electrical malfunctions reported.
However this contrasts with the majority of reviews appearing to find near complete satisfaction with the road holding excellent and performance impressive - especially towards higher speeds.
This praise is supported by the wider industry view that the Focus is among the better buys on the market in the family category.

I've had my gunmetal gray st-2 for 4 weeks now I find it fun to drive. it does my head in when im at work and the car is in the car park. its very fact and comfatable to drive. I get alot of looks and a lot of my friends are jelous and some are after a st from been in mine. They is power in every gear abd the car doesnt want to slow down. Item: Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec TDCi 115 3dr
I had a 2003 model TDCi which was amazing. The ncap safety test rated the car highly. I had to swerve to avoid a van on the A1 and went across 3 lanes, hit the retaining wall and then got hit by a 44 ton artic! The drivers safety cell survived intact although I received multiple injuries and the car was 4 feet shorter. It drove like a dream and was quick at accelerating and had enough power to torque ratio to keep you out of trouble. Plenty of load space and leg room for us tall folk and loads ...

Very nice car. Quick for a diesel and good torque power. I have bought a chip which takes it up to 136 bhp which is excellent. Even more torque now upto 310nm. Really good car altogther, good ride and good space for a three
