I wouldn't waste my time reading this! A Feast For Crows was NOT to the standard I have for this kind of work and my wife and I abandoned it after the first 100 pages. No more of George RR for me. There are too many authors who write enjoyable series that don't take upwards of three years between ...

Item: George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 1)
The point one immediately notices about this series is how very differently it is written. Very few authors and books can draw a person into the story and cut out the silly fluff of absolute characters or absolute power or on and on. Books like this one, the Harry Potter Series and Wish List by Eoin Colfer accomplish this; series like the Inheritance cycle, and the Golden Compass, while impressive for the imagination and volume, are repetitive in comparison. Item: George R.R. Martin, A Clash of Kings (Song of Ice & Fire S.)
If you love fantasy and haven't read A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin, then stop reading this, and go out and buy a copy. It is simply the best fantasy epic I have ever read. One of the things I love about it, is that it doesn't focus on one character. When you think you have it nailed as to who is the main character and so is safe, he kills them off. No one is totally good, and no one is totally bad. No one is safe in this story, it's simply ...

Item: George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 1)
Do you want a book that is well written, that makes the like of David Gemmell books seem childish, Lord of the Rings out dated, then read George R Martin, A Game of Thrones, a book well written well scripted, a book with different characters some bad some good some in between, a book that isn't afraid to kill it main character for the sake of developing the story. This is the BOOK to ...
