Item: Goodmans GDB3
After reading all the other comments I have saved myself money by not calling an engineer to look at aerial, I know where the problem is, its that little silver box with GOODMANS WRITTEN ON IT, so its off to the shops for a new one. Do not recommend Goodmans GDB3 freeview

Item: Goodmans GDVD 157
What I did not know til today is that it is multi region capable! (meaning it will play DVD's from any Region (NTSC and PAL) and even better you don't have to dig around the internet for a "hack Code".
Just look in the manual, page 34, Menu, TV Type and using the up, down left, right buttons, highlight in blue the word "Multi" and press "Select" and you're done.
Now we don't have to pay those over inflated prices for DVD's any ...

Item: Goodmans GHD8015F2
If the design was kept EXACTLY the same with all the same software it would be useful to have some means of transferring the recordings into my computer. So something like a USB port to transfer stuff out would help.
I did take mine apart and looked at the hard drive which is IDENTICAL to that in my PC, with identical connections.
I put the hard drive in my PC but the computer didn't recognise the operating system.
So, if there was a similar operating system I could fill up ...

The Goodmans GHD1621F2 is a very good machine, you don't need your children to set it up for you. What to do with all these vhs tapes is the thing on my mind right now.
