This was a suprise find. When tasted against a California Sterling 2003 and a French "Frenchhouse" 2004 Vin De Pays D'OC it matched very favorably only behind the Sterling with was more than twice its price. The least expensive of the three and well ahead of the Frenchhouse Melot. Good black fruits on the tongue with a very good finish. Medium Body. Excellent with ...

We found a bottle of Kumala Ros 2003 Western Cape and threw up after tasting it. It may be good for cooking, but I wouldn't drink it, ever!! It was disgusting!

Kumala Ruby Cabernet Merlot Western Cape wine is good value at under £4. It has a deep red colour, a fruity nose and a good palate. A wine for drinking and not keeping too long.
