It was a heavy rifle but when you are a schoolboy it is great fun. The SLR we shot latterly was much less fun although less weildy. Also the SLR had much more cleaning to do after ...

This Rifle has a really bad stigma, as I'm sure everyone has heard the horror storys of this Rifle jamming/breaking easily on operations in Iraq and Afganistan; but my friends in the Army using this reckon there's nothing wrong with it, particularly as a Target Rifle. The only universal down-side to this weapon is that if you happen to be left handed you will break your Jaw as the bullet casing will fly into your face, but regardless of that, it is a very, very pretty rifle. I personally think ...

The Lee Enfield rifle is extremely addictive. If the readers of these pages are so inclined to go out and purchase one, it will most likely lead to purchasing more.
