Item: Internet security 5.0 - McAfee
Up until a week ago I've always used Norton internet security but switched to McAfee during this past week it has slowed down my laptop rapidly, things were popping up when I tried to log off- Over all I felt it did not protect my computer as well as Norton.sorry didn't really like it ...

Suddenly McAffee seems to have become very commercially orientated to the detriment of the customer. As a result i am now researching a change of anti virus software.

Amazing anti-virus system. I have used Norton for the past 4 years before mcafee, and I didn't get quite the results I wanted. Tried AVG, Ad-aware, but still couldn't get as much protection as i do now from mcafee. The McAfee system covers almost everything (the full protection), even the internet. Well recommend McAfee ...

Slows down PC quite a lot. Look also at the reviews of this on AV-Bulletin. Scary! It misses lots of viruses.
This is the market leader? Must spend all their R&D money on advertising!

McAfee VirusScan Home Edition 8.0 used to be OK, but the last year has been a nightmare, I have spent hours reinstalling perhaps a dozen times.
Then to make matters worse there is a thing in the small print which they use to recharge your credit card each year to get the next subscription. They do this without asking, and even do it after your card has expired even when you refuse to give them new card details, a matter I have taken up with my cards financial fraud ...
