Item: Nationwide Mortgage
I am in the process of remortgaging through Nationwide and already have my worries. They accepted me in principle, my house has already dropped in value but their surveyor tried to tell me that my house (only a 2 bed property) has gone down by another £5k in about 3 weeks (over the Christmas period!) which I have contested as Countrywide valued it at 100k. I am trying to get a small amount of equity out of the house for Maternity leave and now might not even get this, then they turn ...

Item: Nationwide Smart Children's Saving Account
Queues most of the time. I have requested for a new passbook that can be used on their ATM in-branch machine or other ways of access on several occassions but no straight forwad anwer given.

Item: Nationwide Cash Reward Credit Card
I've had my Nationwide Cash Reward card for 2 years now without any probs. However, I found out last week that my card was declined when I tried to use it. Was told when I phoned up customer service that my account was now closed! No phone call, no email or letter - zilch! So now I'm without a credit card and now I have to apply for a new one without an automatic transfer. Totally apalled to be treated like this. During two 1-2 month periods in the past year, it has been impossible to log in on my account (and my wife's too on the first occasion). On both occasions, the customer support staff blamed us (because it said on their screen that we had entered incorrect data - which it would, as their system was failing to validate it) and refused to investigate it. Local and pay in cash as well as cheques and my card takings.
So far. No long queueing.
I worry that they may be not interested in helping the small customer may be they might change their mind eith the credit
