I bought the Pay-as-you-go package, just to try it out, after previously experiencing the truly pathetic 'Three' Mobile Broadband.The dongle came at a very cheap £29.99, compared to all the £49.99 that you pay for all the other networks & £15.99 for 3GB data usage isn't unreasonable.The dongle software installed easy enough, but that's where the good points end. I have an O2 Blackberry as part of my phone contract and on the plus side they are generally quite good at turning round requests when a phone has been broken or a new SIM card is required.
I had my phone stolen on a weekend away in Spain and as it was a work phone I did not have the password to cancel the contract, and of course could not get hold of anyone as it was the weekend and I had lost all their details which were in the phone. I have 7 weeks left before I am entitled to an upgrade. Unfortunately, my phone has stopped working properly, and I have a very limited range of functions. The scroll buttons won't work and I can't send or reply to texts easily. O2 have suggested I send it in to be repaired, but this will take 2 weeks. They will not agree to an early upgrade, despite the fact that I have been with them for years. Out of principle, I'm going to cancel my contract. I'm really disappointed by their poor approach ...

Brilliant signal and handsets. Good deals get extras for time being with them...
I think out of all the providers O2 have really come up trumps they had a lot of bad press a few years ago but they have certainly learned from that and come up trumps.

I have moved my contract to Orange and I will be urging other to do the same as I have been constantly disappointed with the service I have received from O2. I asked to freeze my contacts for a few months and was told 'no', even though I had an 18 month contract with O2, when I decided to leave they offered me the opportunity to freeze in the future- very helpful!
