When our house burnt down, firstly the Pru told us we were not insured with them and for two hours they kept up the denial before 'finding' us on the 'old' system (we had moved in and taken the insurance only a month earlier).
The builder said he could rebuild in 5-8 weeks. The Pru told has that we would be back in within 12 months. I told them my husband was dying and needed stability and speed with the house. They promised 12 weeks. A staggering 22 months later we moved back in. The ...

Then my second car was involved in a non fault car accident, my car being worth in the region of £50,000.00, I thought it sensible to go through my own insurers being Prudential Car Insurance.

As we said they stall on every point, as we were injured in the accident we keep asking for a claims form and they say it has been sent time and time again, the council have sent us a bill for road closure which was sent to them to pay which they said they would, we had another demand to pay the bill, pru said they had paid it. We received a final bill given us 10 days to pay or legal action would be taken against us! on taking this matter up with the pru they said they were not going to pay ...

Where to start!!! I was hit by a drink driver at the beginning of July and had very serious whiplash meaning I was off work for two months and my car was written off. I spent 6 weeks arguing with prudential over the value of my car (they had knocked off almost £500 for things that didn't exist before the accident). It was only when I went through the financial ombudsman that they eventually agreed on a more suitable price. The other drivers insurance was MUCH more helpful than my own and ...
