I had a Sainsburys online saver, which had a competitive rate. But problems arose when I had to contact them on the phone. Basically at the beginning i wasn't properly security checked and had a 'flag' put on my account so i couldn't do some of my transfers. When I phoned them up they just told me to ring another number, who told me to ring another number, who only told me to ring another number, just to get this flag sorted. It works for me. I've had to request new password details as I forgot mine, and they arrived by post a few days later. The interest rate seems quite stable, not wonderful but not awful either. They aren't a mortgage bank, which was important to me when some banks were close to failing! I can transfer monies between various accounts I've set up, so far without problem.
I just wanted an internet savings a/c an this seems fine. I haven't explored credit cards or anything else so can't comment ...

Its seems just hopeless trying to open an on line credit card account, what is the matter with these people why don't they make it simple and straight forward for those that are a little older to understand. Don't blame people for going else where to

An good rate for an easy access internet account. A good rate with no restrictions. It was easy to set up and transfer money in and out. Good online demo.
